Deepen your relationship with the natural world in the Place where you live. We will spend time both in Sacred Circle and in solo discovery, practicing nature observation techniques and journaling. We'll also glean lessons from the Gaian Tarot (bring yours if you have one, no worries if you don't.) Bring a journal or notebook and pen or pencil.

Henna Design Workshop - Elements of Moroccan Henna Design

Chele Eva Armstrong was fortunate to be able to attend the Moroccan Henna class in Seattle last summer taught by world renowned Moroccan Henna Artists Lisa "Kenzi" Butterworth and Nic Tharpa Cartier. Chele will share some of what she has learned from her mentors regarding different styles of Moroccan design. Learn to drape henna for strait even lines, different motifs and their meanings, and other elements that make up a cohesive Moor design. Symmetry is not a necessity, so learn how you can add your own special style for a Moor fusion design you will love. Bring your creativity and skin. Class will be two hours. Material fee is $5 for a cone filled with fresh Henna Moon henna paste. Julianne Marx from Henna Jules has graciously offered to assist.

Rune Workshop - Create and Charge Your Personal Set of Elder Furthark Runes

Yes, you CAN create your own runes for divination and inspiration. The runes are manifest symbols that recognize and direct creative and destructive energies. By crafting and initiating your personal rune set; you create a magical tool that is fine-tuned to your energies and understandings. They can provide you information for self-reflection and interpretation of circumstances in the past, present or future. You can direct the runic energies to assist you in spell work-protection, money, health, relationship, whatever you desire. The runes are very compact which makes them portable and very accessible for daily use. You will take home 24 runes that you have inscribed and initiated, and a brief sheet of meanings to reinforce the introductory knowledge presented in the workshop.

You will need a bag, cup, or pocket to take your runes home. The rest of the materials will be provided.

Deb Strom (DragonSong) has been a student of the Runes and Tarot for over 20 years. As a nurse, witch, and energetic healer, she stands with one foot in the allopathic world and one foot in the ancient ways. Deb is part of the Stella Maris Tribe and is one of the Stella Maris Mermaid Priestesses. She has created a runic dice oracle based on the Germanic Elder Futhark which consists of 24 Runes; and she is the author of the blog Rune Wisdom found at runewisdom.wordpress.com
